Scholes Wants Giggs Besides Mourinho

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes, who has thrown his weight behind Jose Mourinho to come good at Old Trafford, has also indicated that he hopes Ryan Giggs will continue in a coaching capacity at the club. Giggs served as Van Gaal's assistant for 2 years but his chances of continuing in the same role are bleak with Mourinho reportedly ready to bring his own staff to Old Trafford. But Scholes believes his former team-mate and close friend's in-depth knowledge of United should be put to good use by Mourinho and his staff - "He's got great experience, he knows the club inside out. I think everybody involved with the club and the fans especially would love him to be involved in some way".

But it is most likely that he will be replaced by Mourinho's long-term assistant Rui Faria.
