griezmann transfer to real madrid

The 24-year-old is arguably Atleti's most effective attacking asset and they will not part with him easily—his current contract runs until 2020 and he reportedly has a release clause in excess of €65 million (£47.6 million), according to Jorge Garcia of AS.

It is unsurprising that Real are interested in signing him, as he would be a phenomenal addition to their already stunning forward line.

Alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Benzema, Griezmann could form one of the most skillful attacking units in Europe.

The French star admires his legendary compatriot but affirmed that would not sway him in moving to the Bernabeu, as he restated his commitment to Atletico Madrid

Antoine Griezmann is in talks over a new contract at Atletico Madrid and the France international claims even the presence of Zinedine Zindane would not persuade him to join bitter rivals Real Madrid.

However, Atleti would surely be loath to allow the France international to join their archrivals from across the Spanish capital.
If they are forced to let Griezmann leave next summer, they would likely much rather see him join a team from another league.

Griezmann has scored 32 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions for Atleti this season, including a memorable strike at Bayern Munich to help secure a Champions League final showdown against Madrid.

He told Canal Plus he hopes to extend his stay with Atleti.

"If Zidane calls me [and asks me to join Real] I will say that I'm at Atletico," Griezmann said.
"Zidane is a great person, but I'm here. "I'm even talking to renew my contract. I hope [the talks] will succeed."
